01 // THE UNIVERSE

The Question That Never Ends

The universe is
expanding.

I've always been fascinated by the universe — not simply by what we can see, but by what might exist beyond what we can observe.

Space. Time. Matter. Energy. The beginning. And whether there is truly an edge to any of it.

The more I learn, the more fascinating the questions become. A good question does not always lead immediately to an answer. Sometimes it opens an entirely new universe of questions.

A Little About Me

Prastav Koirala

Curiosity is probably the closest thing I have to a constant.

I'm a Computer Science graduate with interests spanning cybersecurity, SIEM, digital forensics, penetration testing, networking, frontend development and UI/UX.

Technology is one of the ways I explore ideas. I enjoy understanding how systems work, how information moves through them, how problems can be solved and how ideas can be turned into something people can actually use.

Beyond technology, I find myself drawn toward physics, cosmology, space, time, music, visual design and the questions that sit underneath everything we experience.

I don't see these interests as separate worlds. To me, they are different ways of observing patterns.

03 // INSPIRATION

People Who Changed How I Think

1879 — 1955

Albert Einstein

"If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician."

There is something beautiful about that thought. Physics attempts to understand the structure of reality. Music attempts to express something we cannot always put into words. Both can reveal patterns that were invisible before.

STEPHEN HAWKING
"While there's life, there is hope."

Stephen Hawking is one of the people who made the universe feel closer to ordinary minds. Through his books and explanations, ideas about black holes, time and cosmology reached people who might otherwise never have encountered them. What inspires me most is the extraordinary reach of an idea: a mind can travel far beyond the physical boundaries of the person carrying it.

RICHARD P. FEYNMAN

The Beauty of an Ordinary Mind

"I don't know anything, but I do know that everything is interesting if you go into it deeply enough."

Feynman fascinates me for a different reason. He was less interested in appearing extraordinary and more interested in understanding things — deeply, honestly and from first principles.

What I admire is the idea that extraordinary thinking does not necessarily begin with an extraordinary mind. Sometimes it begins with an ordinary mind that refuses to stop asking questions.

Keep asking. Keep thinking. Keep going beyond what is already known.
04 // PHILOSOPHY
You dream once.
You live once.
So explore.

I don't want curiosity to have a boundary. There are questions worth asking, things worth creating, ideas worth exploring and places worth seeing. One life is not enough to answer everything. But it is enough to begin.

05 // THE MIND

Use It.

I love learning.
I love thinking.

I want to learn everything I can. Not because I expect to know everything, but because every answer seems to reveal another question.

Every moment gives the brain something to observe, connect, question or understand. And the brain is perhaps the most extraordinary instrument we carry with us. So why not use it?

Stephen Hawking reminds me of the enormous distance an idea can travel. Through his books, his explanations and his way of thinking about the universe, he helped people like me see a little further than we might have seen alone.

Learn. Think. Question. Repeat.

08 // MUSIC & COSMOS

Everything Begins Somewhere

Every piece of music begins with something remarkably small

A note can be understood through frequency, harmonics and overtones. Look closer and patterns emerge. Look closer still and those patterns can be described through smaller structures, oscillations and relationships.

It makes me wonder about the universe. If we keep looking deeper and deeper — from patterns, to fragments, to smaller structures — how far can we go? At some point we arrive at something unimaginably small. And from that beginning came a universe containing everything we know.

Isn't that fascinating?

Perhaps that is why music and physics fascinate me in completely different — yet strangely connected — ways. Both invite us to look at something beautiful and ask:

"What is it really made of?"
